Huda Jawad



Huda Jawad is an Advisor at the Centre for Academic Shi'a Studies. Huda is currently the Research Coordiator at Solace Women's Aid, a Domestic Violence Charity based in London. Formerly she was the Nyon Process Programme Manager and UK Programme Director at Forwad Thinking, a charity working to promote in the UK greater understanding and confidence between the diverse grassroots Muslim communities and the wider society including the Media and the British establishment.

Huda has a masters degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of London School of Oriental & African Studies. She also holds a bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology. Her previous appointments include working on Middle Eastern civil society reform at the Foreign Policy Centre in London, Assistant to the Director at the International Forum for Islamic Dialogue and also working at the Public Affairs Office of the Al-Khoei Foundation between 1995-1999.
